Hyperbaric Off-Label Indications

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is sometimes prescribed by physicians for conditions known as off-label indications, meaning the therapy is used for medical conditions that are not currently approved by the FDA but may still be considered by healthcare providers based on clinical judgment and research. These off-label uses are explored when increased oxygen delivery to body tissues may support healing, reduce inflammation, or improve recovery processes.

A wide range of conditions have been studied as potential off-label indications for HBOT, including neurological disorders, inflammatory diseases, infections, and injuries. While HBOT is officially approved for a limited number of conditions, physicians may recommend it for other medical situations where oxygen therapy could potentially assist tissue repair and recovery.
